Well, first my sincere apologies for neglecting this blog over the Summer! I feel like this is the first day I have actually had time to sit down and write! Yesterday, I went to school to see my classroom in shambles with all things shoved against the wall, BUT everything was sparkling clean! :) It is always so fun to rearrange my classroom and put up new bulletin boards. The reality of my new students, really hits when I receive my class list! Hopefully that will be very soon! :) As hard as it will be to leave this wonderful Summer I have had, I always love meeting my new students, learning their personalities, and getting back into the grove of school! Now for my Summer Recap...I have to say this is the BEST summer I have EVER had!!
JUNE...
I began the summer teaching summer school. It was 19 days of teaching Kindergarten students who needed an extra boost! I would have to say we accomplished a great deal in those 19 days!
My sister, Katelyn, turned 21 and my family took a trip to LAS VEGAS! We had a GREAT time soaking up the sun, shopping, and of course gambling (a little)! Pictures below!
JULY...
4th of July consisted of my helping with the Geneva (my hometown) Parade and spending time with my boyfriend.
My boyfriend (at the time) and I traveled to the East Coast. We visited his sister who lives in Massachusetts and then we traveled to New York City. In NYC, in Central Park, Tyler proposed to me!!!! We are now ENGAGED and I'm excited to call him my FIANCE! It was such a great surprise and such an exciting time! We can't wait to get married!
We have began wedding planning with the free time that both of us have. Our date is set for June 22, 2013!! It will be here before we know it!
I had the pleasure of traveling to Fremont (ESU 2) to train teachers in Reading Mastery Signature K (Kindergarten)! It was such a great experience for me to work with adult learners and I learned a little myself!
July is about over, the rest of the month consists of School/Classroom preparations, Wedding Planning, and Training Crete Teachers in Reading Mastery.
