Dr. Seuss Wrap-Up!

We finished up our Dr. Seuss unit yesterday and today.  We are now EXPERTS at rhyming!  Check out what we did:

Read: One Fish, Two Fish, Red Fish, Blue Fish

Each student was given some colored goldfish.  We sorted them and graphed them.

We made this project to go along with the book.

We LOVED the book: There's a Wocket in my Pocket!  It had some very funny rhyming words!

We made this pocket with rhyming words.  We wrote the words to match the pictures.
We then went around the classroom and read our paper to each other.  Once we read it to a friend, we got to "sign" the back of their paper!

Continue to practice rhyming words at home!  It is even great to rhyme using words that aren't real, like: wocket-pocket-socket-rocket-locket,docket, etc.

Next, we will be doing St. Patrick's Day and Rainbow projects!  Don't forget to wear GREEN on Friday!!
